Donna's original research and training was at McGill University in cellular endocrinology and signal transduction with a focus on diabetes; she later pursued this work with Merck at their research center in Montreal. Moving on to work in the nascent fields health outcomes and health economics, it became clear that there was a need for scientifically rigorous, transparent application. Donna established the ISIS group at Benefit-Quintiles with this in mind, and in 1996, BioMedCom was founded to carry on this practice, serving all stakeholders in the healthcare community. Since its inception, BioMedCom has been a leader in application of health outcomes and health economics research to healthcare decisionmaking, promoting evidence-based rationales for adoption of new healthcare technologies. Donna serves a strategic leadership role at BioMedCom, maintaining business and customer relations, and participating in project planning and quality oversight. She has been part of the EVIDEM project from its inception. |
